For the 2nd Call for proposals, the World Design Summit unveils the 108 topics
Building on a successful first Call for Proposals that generated some 350 submissions from 40 countries, the Interdisciplinary Scientific and Professional Committee of the World Design Summit 2017 is pleased to unveil the 108 topics that will frame discussions and debates at the Congress component of the World Design Summit, from October 16 to 20, 2017. Please check, https://www.topics.worlddesignsummit.com/
The 108 topics declined from the 6 framing themes were selected with the goal of fostering quality, excellence and critical thinking and build a program worthy of the World Design Summit‘s ambition: bringing about change through design. Papers are accepted in their broadest form: a paper can be a presentation about an idea, a concept, a project and current research.
The papers that will be selected must explore innovative and challenging issues related to these topics. They must provide innovative insights on how to attain change, therefore contributing to the objectives of the summit: that is, to demonstrate the tremendous transformative power of design to create viable solutions for the global social, economic, cultural and environmental challenges we face worldwide.
A short statement (40 words) that clearly states the position of the paper and its innovative and transformative content must be included in each submission. Interested applicants will be able to submit their proposals on the dedicated platform at http://worlddesignsummit.com/#call-for-speakers, from March, 13th, 2017, 9 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time), to June, 4th, 2017, 5 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
