The event took place March 20 – 21, 2017 in Bucharest and brought together over 300 architects from all over the world, among whom the winners of recent international architecture competitions. The forum was used to debate the role of architecture and interior design in improving the quality of life and highlight the design of buildings that generate new thinking in social, cultural, learning & working environments.

Kathryn gave a plenary lecture as the representative of the International Federation of Landscape Architects, in the section of the event dedicated to landscape architecture and urban infrastructure. Her presentation, entitled ‘The idea of landscape: new ways of delivering Infrastructure’ outlined how establishing the idea of landscape as the social/physical/cultural context of our lives can lay the ground for a much broader field of design practice.
