CTLAS (Chinese Landscape Architects Society in Taiwan) has issued an update on it recent activities.

Their Annual Meeting took place on January 15th, 2017. The event began with the annual report regarding the current research projects, plans for 2017, and vision for the landscape region in Taiwan. We introduced the IFLA and IFLA Asia Pacific Region, and encouraged our members to participate and connect with other IFLA members.  The occasion was graced by the presence of the land artist, Shuen Long Lin, and architects from Fieldoffice Architects. Both presented their recent works that inspired dialogues between art, architecture, and landscape.  The talks were followed by the announcement of Landscape Architecture Awards recipients for their excellence in designed landscapes as well as researches, including Qianshan Park Renovation Project, Dongshan River Ecoark, and Zuo Lan Private Villa Landscape Design.

This coming year, in addition to engaging the public with civic participation, CTLAS will also invite government officials and members of Legislative Yuan to participate the research and advocacy of legislation of Landscape Act. We are looking forward to another exciting productive year in advancing landscape awareness of the people and excellence in our professional service.
