The Landscape Institute have announced details of their 2017 award: Landscape Institute Awards recognise the outstanding work of LI members, promote excellence in practice, and raise the profile of the profession. Each year, the LI celebrates projects that protect, conserve and enhance the natural and built environment; and that demonstrate the highest levels of innovation, skill, and commitment to values such as green infrastructure, health and well-being, and natural capital.
Registration for the 2017 Awards is now open. If you have a scheme that you believe deserves recognition, now is your chance to let them know.
The Landscape Institute has created three categories of special award to recognise the different ways in which both members and clients contribute to the natural and built environment for the public benefit. All three special awards are free to enter.
Introduced two years ago, the Client of the Year category celebrates clients who have been particularly supportive of the work and vision of a landscape practitioner. This year, it is accompanied by two new categories of special award: Volunteer of the Year, which pays tribute to the tireless work LI members do in a voluntary capacity; and New Landscape Professional of the Year, which honours innovation and original thinking among members who have recently graduated from the Pathway to Chartership.
