On 16-17 June, the World Design Summit Organization (“WDSO”) hosted the second of two Pre-Summit Meetings in Paris, France. These meetings offer a collaborative, global partnership platform for international organizations to meet around their common cause: creating a better world for all by harnessing the power of design.
IFLA President Kathryn Moore was a participants in the World Design Summit (WDS) Meeting along with other international organizations representing design and design-related professions, and intergovernmental and supranational organizations from the sectors of society, culture, environment and economics.
Amongst the attendees in Paris were representatives of UNESCO, UNEP, Habitat III, Council of Europe and ICOMOS coming together for the first time with design organizations such as the International Union of Architects (UIA), the Service Design Network (SDN), the Interaction Design Association (IxDA) – and WDSO’s three founding partners, the International Federation for Housing and Planning (IFHP), International Council of Design (ico-D) and International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA).
