IFLA helps tackle global issues through design

DM7fXzwV4AA4-r7Today IFLA was one of 34 international organizations who came together solve global issues through design.  At the World Design Summit in Montreal, The first Montreal Design Declaration has now been officially signed.

This global undertaking was focused on developing an international action plan for harnessing the power of design to address pressing global challenges. International organizations representing design, architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture, are coming together for the first time with representatives of intergovernmental and supranational organizations and specialized agencies, such as UNESCO, OECD, UNEP and ICLEI.

IFLA World President Kathryn Moore and President of IFLA Americas Raquel Peñalosa were present over the 2 day summit which followed IFLA’s 2017 World Congress which was hosted by the CSLA-AAPQ in Montreal.
