The main documents relating to the first forty years of IFLA activities (1948-1987) have been bound into 8 volumes conventionally called “golden books”, numbered from I to VIII. The documents are essentially typescripts that often contain handwritten entries (corrections, comments, signatures, etc.). Some folio sides contain exclusively handwritten entries. There are also some reproductions of typescripts.
