Creator and Director for ten years of the Master on Landscaping and Site Design at the University of Costa Rica. Currently in charge of the Landscape Observatory at the same university. IFLA Delegate from Costa Rica. Former IFLA Americas President 2010 -2014. Current IFLA PPP Committee Americas Regional Chair. Voting member of ICOMOS-IFLA Scientific Committee on Cultural Landscapes. Principal of a LA firm, since 1985 combines his academic and institutional career with design and construction, highlighting his work in Central America and the Caribbean. Key note speaker and author of several publications was awarded at the Biennale of Architecture in Costa Rica in 2010, with the First Prize on Research.
