Fadera Williams is a Landscape architect and an environmental specialist. She is a Doctoral candidate at the Department of Architecture, University of Lagos, Nigeria where her research focuses on residential private open spaces and an assessment of their form, use and carbon sequestration value in the Lagos metropolis.
She is the Principal Partner of Hermon Empor Landscape Ltd, a firm which has provided landscape consultancy and project execution services to the British Gas oil &Exploration (Nig)ltd, Masork Ltd, Bedmate furniture, Tantalizers Plc, UAC property development company-UPDC, ITB construction Company, NAFDAC, Ogun State Government, Lagos State Government, Osun State Government and many others.
Fadera is an experienced environmental facilitator who has served as an Environment Ambassador during the tenure of the immediate past governor of Lagos State. Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN. She is a co-founder of Sustain Africa Earth Initiative, a youth and environmental driven NGO which has initiated environmental drives that have reached and trained not less than 10,000 youth on Climate Change impacts. She is the first Landscape Architect produced by a West African University and she currently serves as a volunteer writer with the prestigious International Federation of Landscape Architects while also serving as the President of the Society of Landscape Architects, South/West Chapter. She is a proud recipient of the Cherie Blair/ Exxon Mobil Road to Growth for Women in Business Scholarship to train with the Enterprise Development Center of the Prestigious Pan Atlantic University (A.KA. Lagos Business School).
She is also an Associate Fellow of the prestigious Nigeria Leadership Institute. (AFNLI) Her hobbies are reading, writing, inspirational public speaking and singing.
