Gabriel Caballero

Gabriel has worked for leading landscape architecture practices involved in projects in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Germany and the Philippines. Highlights of his work include an ecological tourism development south of Manila, Philippines; a landscape design for a riverfront revitalisation project in Nanjing, China and an architectural conservation strategy for a historic settlement in Dresden, Germany. He was also one of the resident landscape architects for Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, a 54-hectare development that serves part of the public realm at its new downtown area.

Gabriel received his Landscape Architecture degree from the University of the Philippines, Diliman and acquired his masters degree on World Heritage Studies at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg in Germany. He is a member of the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects (PALA), a Licentiate Member of the Landscape Institute in the United Kingdom (LI) and is an accredited landscape architect in Singapore by the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA LAAD). He is also a National Committee Member of the Philippines for the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).

Gabriel is an Assistant Vice President for Attractions Development at Mandai Park Development in Singapore. He is also involved in independent heritage research projects tackling the relationship between urban development and heritage conservation in Asia.
