Marius Sekse

Marius Sekse graduated in 2006 with a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the Norwegian University of Life Science. During his eleven years of experience he has mainly been working within the urban context, with city renewal, transportation and high security projects. During the last eight years Marius has been with the COWI Group – an international engineering consultant group. In addition to practice as a discipline lead he has several different internal roles in COWI Norway. He is the BIM Strategist for Transport and Urban planning and Deputy Head of Centre for Risk Reducing Design.
For several years Marius has taken an active role in the Norwegian BIM standardization for Landscape Architecture. This work is now being discussed on an international level in building SMART. Marius is a passionate traveler and he has visited more than 70 countries around the world. Some of them as a speaker on various BIM conferences in Europe, Asia and the US. Since the terror attack on the Norwegian governmental quarters in 2011, Marius has mainly been working with high security projects. He is one of a few Norwegian landscape architects with specialist competence within the field of hostile vehicle mitigation and perimeter protection. Together with security advisors, security organizations and Norwegian security authorities he has arranged courses and conferences for students and professionals.
