Takanori (Tak) Fukuoka, is an Associate Professor at Kobe University Graduate School of Engineering, Department of Architecture, Sustainable Living Environmental Design (SLED) Program in Japan (http://www.edu.kobe-u.ac.jp/eng-arch-sled/)
He is a US licensed Landscape Architect (RLA) with international perspectives. His professional experiences developed through multiple international Landscape Architecture firms in the US and Germany. He worked at Hargreaves Associates in San Francisco, California, Gustafson Guthrie Nichol Ltd in Seattle, Washington, and Atelier Dreiseil (currently Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl) in Ueberlingen, Germany. He was involved in diverse projects in all phases in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Middle East.
He is a founder of Fd-Landscape (http://www.fd-landscape.net) and led several urban parks and courtyard projects.
He holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Design, Dept. of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning. He received William Van Allen Fellowship (2002), Wallace Roberts and Todd Fellowship (2002) and Narendra Juneja Medal (2003), Kobe University Best Faculty Award (2014), and Good Design Award (2014).
