Alessio Russo

Alessio Russo holds a Bachelor of Science in Plant Production from the University of Naples (2005), a Master of Science in Landscape Design and Planning from the University of Pisa (2007), and a Postgraduate Specialization in Healing Garden Design from the University of Milan (2013). He received his Ph.D. in Urban Forestry from the University of Bologna (2013).
He is the Head of Laboratory of Urban and Landscape Design at Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia. He has been the course leader and director of the International Summer School in Cultural Landscapes and Sustainable Urban Regeneration (ISS-CLSUR 2017).
He is a member of the IFLA Advisory Circle, and a member of the Italian Landscape Architecture Association (AIAPP), an Executive member of the Asian Cultural Landscape Association (ACLA), a member of the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Commission on Ecosystem Management. Dr. Russo has worked as a Landscape Architect in the UK, Italy and the UAE, dealing with sustainable design and eco-urbanism.
