Greg is Principal founder of UDLA and has over 20 years’ experience in the environment and development industry as Landscape Contractor, Environmental Consultant, Urban Designer and Landscape Architect. His experience includes a large variety of urban and rural design projects, ranging from broad land use, visioning and master planning studies through to culturally inclusive community development. Along with his commitment to a strong social and environmental philosophy with emphasis on community and contemporary site responsive design, Greg’s former position as Design Contractor has provided him with the knowledge for developing practical and economic outcomes.
In the past twelve years Greg’s focus has been on remote community development, in areas often experiencing high Aboriginal populations, stressed housing markets and a limited capacity to improve local conditions. He aligns closely with the practice’s design philosophy that the health of a community has a symbiotic relationship with how empowered participants are engaged with their environment and have a say in changing their existing condition into a preferred one.
