I have trained as a landscape architect at the Royal University of Veterinary and Agricultural sciences since 2002. Since 1999 I owned an office with two other partners (landscape architects), our main focus was on park management. In 2003 I was offered a position at an old, renowned landscape office, with Andreas Bruun and Solveig Stenholm. Working here brought together my ambition in working on high profile landscape projects but with a keen focus on management – in this office we did work for many cemeteries and university campus. In 2008 I switched to the office of Kragh & Berglund in Copenhagen. The job was to professionalize the office especially in stages of final design / drawings. During the time at Kragh & Berglund I also got to work on competitions and ending up winning quite a few! In 2013 I was approached by my local municipality, asking if not I would be interested in joining their Execution team in the department of Roads and Parcs. As it sounded both interesting, was close to home and my childrens school I accepted, gladly! At Roskilde Kommune I have the task of overseeing our budgets, working out our strategic budget for the years to come, and advising colleagues in making landscape architecture, roads etc. into resilient beautiful places, again if possible on with maintenance kept at a minimum and quality at maximum.
On a private note I am 43 years old, married with Stine and I have two daughters Ellen and Ingrid, aged 11 and 8. I live in the town of Roskilde, best known for its Cathedral, the Viking ship Museum and the rock festival. Here we have an old house (from 1880’s) on which I do a lot of renovation, both indoors and outdoors. I do voluntary work at the festival since 1992, working with artist transportation. I also do a little bit of work at the local riding school where my two girls have been enrolled for the last 4 years. I do enjoy all things good, in terms of food, music and books!
