Virginia L. Laboranti is a Member of the Research Center on Landscape (CIP) at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism – Buenos Aires University (FADU – UBA). Her research is on how about properties owned by Buenos Aires City can be transformed into public spaces. Her former research was on Landscape History and her book is currently being edited She is also co-writer of both the Buenos Aires Green City Law and the Cultural Infrastructure Law (include cultural landscapes).
She has been an Advisor to the Argentinian Architects Institute to help prevent and mitigate urban floodings, Trinidad, El Beni, Bolivia – 2008 and has been on the Advisory Council for the Buenos Aires City Strategic Plan (COPE). Virginia is also a member of the International Scientific Committee ICOMOS / IFLA on Cultural Landscapes (ISCCL).
