ADEJUMO T. Olatunji is a Nigerian landscape architect, natural resources planner and senior lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Lagos, Nigeria. He obtained Ph.D. in Architecture (2011) from University of Lagos after joining the Faculty of Environmental Sciences in 2001 to establish Master of Landscape Architecture program. His Master of Landscape Architecture degree (1983) is from State University of New York, Syracuse USA; and BSc. Forestry (1978) is from University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Dr Adejumo’s research interest is in the nexus of culture and nature as theoretical foundation for indigenous planning and its applicability in the conceptualisation of ‘place’ driven public realm. He has published more than twenty two papers in peer review journals and conferences.
Dr Adejumo practised for 18 years in architecture, landscape architecture and environmental management firms. He is the Principal of Generation Twenty-One Consult based in Lagos. He also co founded Planetary People Initiative – an environmental NGO that focused on alternative livelihood pattern for rural people threatened by socio-political and climatic anomalies. He is currently the President Society of Landscape Architects of Nigeria
